A museum not to miss in London - and this guide was tops!

If you don't know much about the British museum, you need this type of guided tour to make at least a respectable dent into the enormous collection of human history on display there. Our guide was exceptionally good, as she led us through some of the key rooms for Egyptian, Assyrian, and ancient Greece artifacts. Two hours is barely enough to explore this museum, but when you are short on time, it was a great start that makes you want to come back.

I enjoyed the overall experience learning from a tour guide about the history of the museum. I learned about how the history was built and why it was built, and I liked learning from a guide who understood the history to be able to explain it to tourists, as I otherwise would not have learned much about the history of this museum on my own.

We had a guided tour in English but my grandson does’t understand English so it was a waste of money. There were too many people and dificult to follow the guide.

Greek Parthenon was impressive.
I would give a higher score however the start of the tour and the meeting place was both stressful and confusing to the entire group. The only avail entrance was the front of the museum, however security didn’t start to process people until 10. We were all late for the 10 am start.
