A museum not to miss in London - and this guide was tops!
If you don't know much about the British museum, you need this type of guided tour to make at least a respectable dent into the enormous collection of human history on display there. Our guide was exceptionally good, as she led us through some of the key rooms for Egyptian, Assyrian, and ancient Greece artifacts. Two hours is barely enough to explore this museum, but when you are short on time, it was a great start that makes you want to come back.
Our guide Marika was fabulous. We learned so much. Loved it. She is a star. We were jet lagged and she stirred our interest.
Informative Guided Tour, Involving History of the British Museum
I enjoyed the overall experience learning from a tour guide about the history of the museum. I learned about how the history was built and why it was built, and I liked learning from a guide who understood the history to be able to explain it to tourists, as I otherwise would not have learned much about the history of this museum on my own.
Our guid was on time and very sweet. She was easy to under and engaged our children very well. She kept the pace going and gave us an opportunity to ask questions.
Focused and interesting
Joe was very knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent guide and a brilliant way to have a look around the museum. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in having a focused tour around the museum.
Our guide was excellent and made our time in the British Museum truly memorable! She did a great job finding us, quickly getting us through security, providing excellent background on the objects and showing us amazing highlights! We really enjoyed our time with her!
The guide was superb - so interesting that despite our exhaustion from running all around London, We stayed for the whole 2 hours and it was well worth it.
Great Tour at the British Museum
Our guide was exceptional--she navigated the crowds to show us key things in various spaces and was so, so knowledgeable! She was Italian and I believe her name was Stephania. THANK YOU!
Comment on the guided visit
We had a guided tour in English but my grandson does’t understand English so it was a waste of money. There were too many people and dificult to follow the guide.
Greek Parthenon was...
Greek Parthenon was impressive.
I would give a higher score however the start of the tour and the meeting place was both stressful and confusing to the entire group. The only avail entrance was the front of the museum, however security didn’t start to process people until 10. We were all late for the 10 am start.
