We booked a Thames Rockets boat ride via a Travelzoo offer which made it even better! The loading pier is very easy to find right under the London Eye. We were kitted out in lifejackets and offered big waterproof jackets to wear to keep warm. Each boat seats a maximum of 12 passengers. Our 80 minute cruise boarded at 4pm and took us by all the major London sights (St Paul's, Cleopatra's Needle, The Shard, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Tower Of London, Canary Wharf, O2 and many more) and under lots of famous bridges (Tower, London, Waterloo, etc) and through the amazing Thames Barrier. All this was accompanied by an exhilarating ride steered by John and excellent commentary on all the sights by Geoff. There was also a great selection of music blaring out as we roared at speed down the Thames, everything from latest pop classics to James Bond to Stevie Wonder's 'happy birthday' played for two guests celebrating. We saw the sights in daylight outbound and illuminated in the dark on the return. Just wow! Definitely put Thames Rockets on your list of things to do in the capital city!

Absolutely Excellent!! This was utterly fantastic, the team was fantastic and made the trip! Unfortunately, I can’t remember all their names, as I’d love to mention all of them. But Robbie our main tour guide was amazing, he had us all in fits of laughter. They really made the whole experience! I wouldn’t change one thing about this trip. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in London! I actually learnt a lot of really fun facts too.
I would highly recommend this trip. I can’t express how much fun we had.

What an amazing experience, not only seeing the most Iconic landmarks of London but the G & T were so engaging with everyone and made the trip so much fun and going along the Thames at dusk and then returning as all the lights come up felt even more special.
Life jackets are supplied but I do recommend not wearing a cap but be prepared to be cold
